This is a historic area, which used to be owned by the Navy/MOD. The buildings here have been converted to an ample choice of restaurants (albeit chains), a bakery, and residential apartments. It sits on the waterfront, overlooking a marina, and is also reasonably close to the Cremyll Ferry (for foot passengers only) too if you'd like a day at... More

Nice cold but sunny day, spot of lunch with a client and an enjoyable relax and natter. Parking is pay on arrival but take contact less cards which is good and easy. Will be back one evening to try the wine tasting venue looks great fun

It has tiny amounts of everything but lacks a good sere of character as should befit such a place because theree isn't enough of anything. A Few restaurants and one or two bars jammed in gaps between masses of apartments are not enough to make a good visitor location. A couple of shops obscured badly from view so most people... More

We were renting a cottage near Plymouth and arrived Saturday Night and saw that there was a local produce food market on at the Royal William Yard Harbour on the Sunday. So we drove there taking the Torpoint Ferry early on the Sunday morning. There is limited parking and it is expensive but worth the visit as the stalls have... More

The Royal William Yard, formally owned by the Royal Navy, has been transformed into a visitor attraction. The buildings have been retained and sympathetically restored to accommodate a variety of restaurants and cafes. The area is spacious and positioned on part of the South West Coast path, making it ideal for a pre or post meal ramble. Perfect on a... More

This used to belong to the Royal Navy, but is now open to the public. There are open air markets during the summer, check out before visiting. There is a nice walk on ferry trip to Cremyll in Cornwall not far away.

We love the Royal William Yard & the choice of restaurants. Parking has become an issue with not enough flexibility - but I am sure they will sort this. Stunning Grade 1 location

I think the title says it all! Having visited and stayed at the Royal William Yard many times; we decided to buy. The Yard is both vibrant and full of life but also very peaceful; standing looking out over the water toward Cornwall, you can feel alone in the world & at one with nature. I couldn't recommend this place... More
