Lovely for dog walking

Beautiful grounds and ideal for dog walking. Can finish off with a visit to the Courtyard cafe for a spot of light refreshment.

This was the second time we had been to Saltram, but the first time we had gone into the house. It was really lovely, and the grounds and gardens are beautiful. There is a really nice walk down to the estuary and is great for dogs.

This is always a destination for us when we come to visit family and friends in Plymouth. Often we skip the house tour and just have lunch and a wander around the grounds. The cafe is a bit slow when the crowds are large, but the food is good and homemade and the staff is cheerful. It's a great destination... More

Great place to visit and walk / cycle but they do really go to town on the pricing! I think your prices could come in to line a little more, I understand you have a captive audience but you food is only really just above average!

We go here once a month with a group of greyhound owners, and, by and large, it's wonderful. Not so great in the pouring rain, however, and, sometimes, cyclists get a little too bolshy in their "ownership" of the trails, but a worthwhile walk.

Advised by a friend to take a guided tour of the house, so glad we did and well worth the money. Our guide, Rose was so helpful and knowledgeable on the history of the buildings and the Parker family over the ages, the tour lasts about three quarters of an hour. You are given a key so you can re... More

Went to Saltram Gardens for a walk with the family and mother in-law. Unfortunately on arrival its absolutely poured down with rain and after paying £3 a car for parking decided to have a coffee in the cafe / restaurant. OMG you need to take out a second mortgage to eat and drink at that venue :-(

Saltram house is one of my favourite places to visit. Plenty of walks around the house and gardens, children & dog friendly, lovely tea room, even ducks for the children to feed. Well worth a visit.
