This is a beautiful area for walking there are amazing views and it forms part of the coast path. Can be quite windy so wrap up on a cold day and stout shoes are helpful. Great for dog walking but recommend leads unless your dog is totally under your control due to narrow paths with cliff drops. There is a... More

Excellent coastal path with tarmac footpath and superb sea views which then open out into the Valley of the Rocks which looked like another planet really. Plenty of seats available all along the route on the walk from Lynton town. Worth a visit.

A great place to linger or explore, offering extensive impressive vistas along the coast. It's on the Coast Path so handy for walkers.

Great walk, friendly "wild" goats. Please be aware of some narrow cliff edge paths, but whole route is safe!!

Walked to the Valley Of The Rocks from Lynmouth. Absolutely stunning scenery throughout including a good look at the Cliff Railway on the way up. Beautiful Moors and feral goats as well as dramatic coast path with views across to Wales.

The scenery is quite stunning in this wild area with its mountain goats, several already had a young kid which added to the lovely views with sea in the back ground. The coastal path to Lynmouth is also very attractive. Well worth a visit when in this area of natural beauty.

Stunning with plenty of parking and goats, if you like goats! Not massive in area but hosts some good meandering walks. Don't suggest letting dogs off here.

If you are in the area or near you have to visit the Valley of the Rocks, its breath taking! The town of Lynton is nearby, although we visited in January and everything was shut, but the walks around that area are beautiful.

Just outside Lynton on one of the prettiest sections of the Coast path in Devon, this is a most interesting section with its rocky formations. Footpath at this stage is gentle making access easy.

Seven of us went walking in the Valley of the Rocks, our ages ranging between 47 and 74. We split into two groups according to ability and fitness, one person suffering with rheumatoid arthritis thus being restricted in mobility. The first group took the easier walk and all of us found it quite accessible. The paths were clear and easy... More
