The title says it all. Been there a few times over the years and never disappoints. Shows how continuous family involvement works - even down the very youngest!

On our way back to Torbay via topsham we pulled into this oasis. By a river, quiet setting sun beating down. This public house looked like any other, but on entry it was no ordinary pub. The bar has no pumps but go outside to...More

Unique for so many reasons. Sit outside and watch the river Clyst wind all the way to the horizon. You will see a wide variety of waterfowl - Kingfishers, Herons etc. The food is always top quality, they have a fixed menu which includes delicious...More

Great beers on tap here, with a unique setting on the river. Apparently the only pub the Queen has ever visited (don't hold me to that). Lots of local beers, room to sit outside.

We had lunch outside over looking the river after a short tour of this pub, which really brings the term 'public house' to life. Beer excellent, and food simple but very tasty. To experience how pubs used to be visit the Bridge Inn.
