Not as grand in scale as most cathedrals, Exeter cathedral is a charming building in peaceful and historic surrounds just off Exeter high street. I didn't have time to take the tour inside on this occasion, but will be back to see more !

This is my most favourite cathedral in England. Beautiful stained glasses, unique astronomical clock (don't miss it!), high ceiling, tranquil atmosphere...everything is amazing. If you have good eyes, you can see the statue of St.Paul in rare style.

It very hard to take in the wonderful stonework. The inner ceilings are absolutely wonderful and there is a mirror to view the very high roof

Lots of good photo opportunities in this amazing cathedral. Good self-guided tour leaflet available. Had the added bonus of a choir rehearsing as we walked round.

In 2014 we were able to seat everyone who wished to attend the service. Based on last year's experience you shouldn't need to worrying about arriving before 4pm. This year we are also celebrating a late communion service at... More
