Nice walks

Greenway was very well kept and the gardens were nice to walk around. We didnt think our children would like it but seemed happy enough and they loved the boathouse. Worth a visit.

Visited the house recently and admired the many rooms on display. The staff were very knowledgeable and answered all questions. The house itself is surrounded by lovely gardens and walks.Note travelling by road be extra careful of single road with curves

Greenway is well worth a visit-house and gardens are really interesting. We took the small ferry across the river and then a short walk up the hill to the house.

Visited here for second time today and what a lovely experience from happy, caring staff - thank you all for such a lovely warm welcome and a thoroughly lovely day 😊. Without a doubt one of the best NT properties we have visited. We had wonderful food in the cafe - the best we had found in days nearby. Although... More

Visited with my wife on this fine December last Friday of 2016. The sun eventually burned the foggy mist away the blue sky shone through adding to the beauty of these gardens albeit mostly in their semi dormant state however the camelias were in flower as were the daffodils as we walked to Agatha's house. The house was quite magnificent... More

This is a most pleasant gem . I have driven by lots of times without realising what I have been missing. Beautiful wooded walks. Beautiful walks by the sea. Fantastic house. Great food in the cafe to boot. You need to book parking before you go. We had a fantastic time and will return

We used the steam train to arrive at Greenway Halt and we then walked for about 20 minutes to arrive at Greenway House. The National Trust have done a fantastic job on recreating the house at a point in the 1950s. What a super place with brilliant views over the Dart to the very picturesque village of Dittisham.

Really loved this house and thrilled that if I had wanted to play the grand piano in the drawing room I could have done. The gardens were not as well kept as they could have been but they too had a lovely atmosphere. We travelled there by boat and walked slowly up the steep approach to the house. We were... More

We have booked stays at three National Trust lodgings and have been delighted with all of them. We spent six nights at The Lodge, which is located at the entry to Greenway, which is formerly Agatha Christie's summer estate. The Lodge is well appointed and perfect for two people. It has a comfortable bedroom, efficient shower, well-equipped kitchen and delightful... More
