This place has lots of tourist information for the locality but also a lot of interesting information about the history, geography and geology of the area. There is a nice brass rubbing area in the centre. There is a decent shop too

Spoke to Margaret, who was most helpful and friendly - and provided all the information we needed. Centre all staffed by volunteers. Thank you for your help.

It is actually worth a bit of time to stop in at the Visitors Centre here. Lots of good information and will help orient you to the area and walking about the Castle Peninsula.
