We went here on our way back from Cape Cornwall it was such a good stop off, great big beach, rockpools and walks. We went to the Rockpool restaurant before we headed back and it was amazing food as well.

Been coming here for nearly 10 years now most mornings out of the holiday season. Its this place that makes you say, thank god I'm alive and live here! squillions of miles of flat sand, over looking St Ives, Lelant etc - just unbelievable in its beauty. If you use the beach or the miles of Dunes just above it,... More

Accessible either from the car park at Gwithian Towans or the National Trust car park on the other side of the Red River, this is a beautiful beach with Godrevy lighthouse as a ever watchful companion.Good for walking on (at low tide, and with enough energy it is possible to walk all the way back to the Hayle estuary) and... One of a chain of beaches that surround St. Vies Bay, all of them beautiful come rain or shine.Soft sand, cliff top walks and seasonal life guards. At low tide it truly is a long walk to the water the beach is so flat. If you get lucky the pods of dolphins love playing in the bay, frequent visitors though... More

The beach is the place to go and watch the seals - all very good and amazingly beautiful. Don't forget to visit the cafe if you like good food. You might wait a while to get your order taken at the counter, but this is foodie heaven, and they even do foodie evenings...avoid the loud and noisy Rockpool Bar/Cafe at... More

We have visited Gwithian Beach for the past four years it's ideal for us with our dogs as majority of beach is dog friendly, there are also dunes to explore fresh water pond for swimming too!! Unfortunately steps down to the beach were damaged in the storms in 2015 but the beach is still accessible from the dunes.

Visit here every year. Marvellous for children (of any age!). Even little people have small pools to play in when the tide's out but if you like beaches that are flat and easy to walk on, this is the place! When the tide's out you'll quite a long walk to the sea and there's still a way to go before... More
