A quick walk up from town and totally worth it. The views are simply stunning. Sit and have a relaxing time while taking in the history and sea.

We took the opportunity to get away from the busy quayside and strolled up the path to the coastguard station then on up the slope to the tiny chapel. The views from the headland are superb and should not be missed if you have time...More

A trip to The Island is a must each time we visit St Ives & we are never disappointed by the views from this windswept outcrop

We always go up to this delightful little chapel whenever we are in St Ives. Beatutiful views. If it is open a prefect time just to sit and reflect

Staying in St. Ives without visiting The Island would be disasterous! The jutting headland, joining onto Porthmeor Beach provides the ultimate view of St.Ives bay in all it's splendour, particularly at sunset on a clear evening. Cornwall in all it's glory!

Not to much effort is needed to walk up to the top you get fantastic views from the top of both St Ives itself an the surrounding area. There is a little chapel at the top but it wasn't open when we visited.

Escape from the madding crowd by walking onto the island. Watch a kestrel hunting, goldfinches, starlings, sparrows and rabbits - a nice change from gulls! The only noise if the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks - it has to be done

Came here with my girlfriend and friends to see the views and what awesome views they are! You can lie down peacefully and watch everyone and thing move around you. Definitely visit for half an hour!

If you want a place with so many differences in one space then this is the perfect spot. The views are magnificent and you can see so many sides or Cornwall. You have your calm waters on one side and the windy rougher water on...More

There is a wide tarmac path with regular benches leading up from the car park, it's not too steep that side either so it should be okay for trundler or wheelchair access.
