Acres of golden sand, great walking and rock-pooling at low tide but the sea is never too far away for a swim or a paddle. Super coastal walks around and cafes, beach huts and facilities but best of all the view.

Love this beach any time of year with the beach cafe, beach restaurant and shop. Calmer and more sheltered than Porthmeor so good for small children.

Just love walking along the edge of the sea on this beautiful beach before heading up to the Pedn Olva for a hot chocolate

We went walking on the beach pre and post dinner at the wonderful Porthminster Beach cafe, it was gorgeous, a highlight of our trip to St Ives

A beautiful beach with good access, tucked away from the main beach on St Ives, it is a bit smaller and more sheltered but with good facilities.

Walked here from the town and how lovely to see a super clean beach with the tide coming in and that made it ideal for the couple of surfers that were in the sea as the waves were just right. Also lovely views around the bay which made it really interesting.

Our hotel overlooked Porthminster beach & we couldn't wait go there for a walk. Despite it being November we enjoyed our blustery walk on this gorgeous sandy beach. It must be amazing in the summer time although probably gets very busy. Very convenient too as it's just a short stroll from the shops, cafes and restaurants of St Ives
