Busy in June, mobbed in July/August, parking a nightmare, none nearby so humping kids and kit traumatic and most unwelcoming, dogs 'BANNED'. Not discouraged, designated area or seasonal, just BANNED. We'll take our holiday pounds elsewhere St.Ives!

Beautiful sand, light and clear green/blue sea. Plenty of space and great location to bars, restaurants and shops. Great place to chill and watch the surfers do their stuff.

What can you say about a beach... it's sandy, you can hear the waves, you can go for a swim, get onto your bodyboard - if like me you're not the proper surfer! Quite busy at times, but generally a clean beach with the stunning...More

Lovely beach, short stroll from the centre of St Ives and opposite the Tate gallery. Not a large beach though and gets extremely busy in peak times. On quieter days its a beautiful spot and the beach cafe is ideally located. Lots of surfing happening...More

Beautiful beach with a fantastic bar - Cocktails are amazing with the most wonderful views. Food from the café is always freshly prepared. Visit every May half term and even in the rain it is a special place!

This beach is within easy walking distance of the main harbour area. It's a lovely bay with beautiful surroundings, rock pools at low tide, golden sand and safe bathing as lifeguard service is provided. Not as crowded as Porthminster when we visited.
