Clean, shallow shelf beach, bit storey at high tide but all much in to create a sand path to the sea. Great for sandcastles. Both cafes good. West beach great for lunch away from crowds. Highly recommended.

Even the gulls are asleep when we arrive, the tide is high and placid. Some Sleepers are in small tents and what a vision to awake.....Tate gallery at the rear and a splendid Cafe perched above........go early before the crowds.

Beautiful beach. Busy but didn't feel like we were all so close to each other that we had no privacy.

To get a space in the car park you have to be there for 8 o'clock or park at the rugby club. Good beach pools and surf if the tide is right. Then breakfast at the cafe wonderful!
