Clean sands, clear sea, fantastic surfing. Beautiful dunes and views. Dog friendly. Just enough shops, places to eat, toilets and showers. A short walk into town. Beware the car parking though, pay as soon as you get there else you will be stung with a ticket!

Make sure you buy a parking ticket! We got stung with a £60 fine parking on an empty beach in the middle of winter, really annoying!!

A good place to exercise dogs and children. Dunes and streams, the inlet and the shore all add to the variety here. It is popular but not overcrowded. Definitely worth repeat visits. Popular for water sports such as surfing and paddle boarding.

This is a beautiful beach, but beware of the parking -- we were hit with a £60 fine charge a week later! Seems one still has to pay on Boxing Day, no breaks! We were staying at the lovely Headland Hotel and my husband drove me down to the beach area as I was unable to walk due to an... More

Me and my boyfriend enjoyed a lovely winter walk along this beach in Jan 2017. It was stunning in the winter sun. Depending which end you park it's either free or £3 for the day. If you were on the beach looking out to sea, the road on your left has free roadside parking, the carpark with shops and cafe's... More

Huge wide surfing beach, very safe for kids and dogs. Shops and cafes overlooking the beach. Very near Newquay, good walks nearby.

You can't beat this beach watching the surfers. We were there between Christmas and New Year and couldn't believe the hundreds of surfers that were in. It's a lovely dog friendly beach with buckets of dog balls available to borrow at each end. Cafe's also available at both ends Would recommend.
