A lovely small town museum with some brilliant old photos and newspapers. So interesting and you could spend ages in here just looking at the newspapers alone.

Small museum, but with lots of interesting bits and pieces and history. Even supposed to be haunted by a young girl who had supposedly been incarcerated in the gaol there by an unscrupulous magistrate who wanted to have his wicked way with her...but she mysteriously disappeared! Never to be seen again. Cheap to get in and worth the money.

For such a small museum there was much to find, if you are interested in local history. Reading through the newspaper articles was worthwhile. One of the jewels in the crown of this museum visit was a chat with the two ladies who ran the museum. They were more than willing to impart their knowledge. There was also an opportunity... More

A old building limited space interesting but limited access especially for the disabled. I think more interesting for the old than the young.

The best part of visiting this museum were the volunteers working there. Passionate about history in general and especially the history of Looe. I cannot say enough amazing things about these ladies. Support this place and keep it running! It is worth it! There were many interesting artifacts throughout the museum from throughout the times and the building itself and... More

Lots of interesting things to learn here. I even learnt where the expression "not big enough to swing a cat in" came from. Want to know? Visit the museum.

We popped in as it was drizzling and I was curious to know more about Looe. The staff were lovely and quite enthusiastic about the museum which is run by volunteers. Its packed to the gunnels with artifacts and some of the exhibits had obviously been there a long time. I'm prepared to read everything but not everyone else is... More
