High on the terraces above the Main Street and easily found at the top of Jacobs Ladder Steps leading up from the Moor is this lovely and quirky pub well worth the few minutes climb to get there. There is no pub car park but...More

This is a very nice, cosy, traditional pub. It has a very pleasant atmosphere. There is a good range of beers. They do pub grub although we only went there for drinks. I can’t say that the staff were particularly friendly, but no complaints. We...More

We've been attending live music events at the Jacobs for some time now and have traditionally really enjoyed our evenings here. It's no mean feat to come as we live several miles away. Unfortunately we're not sure whether we've just been unlucky or not more...More

What a fun friendly lot in this pub. Just went for an early evening drink. Serving sunday roast dinners - look large portions and all plates cleared. Very busy and lively place. Definitely call in again after climbing Jacob's Ladder.
