My wife & I have just got back from an Easter break in Falmouth, we visited Pendennis Castle for the afternoon, it was well worth the visit, plenty too see and do, a must for all ages. The views from the top of the keep are magnificent (a bit of a climb but worth it) we are in our 60's.... More

Visited for a day whilst on holiday and impressed with Falmouth. A good working harbour with plenty of places to eat, drink and soak up the port atmosphere. A brief walk away and you can climb to the castle for good views across the bay, you may even see the humpback whale.

The whole of Falmouth is amasing wonderful views a great beach and superb restaurants, bars and pubs. We had a brilliant stay and saw so much everyday. We were lucky with the weather but even in poor weather there is loads to do and see, the boat trips are superb!

The Fal estuary is a beautiful place, well worth exploring by foot as far as is possible. In the centre of Falmouth, riverside buildings limit the amount of direct access to the riverside. However the walk out to Pendennis Point is well worth the slight climb and gives great views up the river. It is an ideal place at which... More

Each time we visit Falmouth we drive up to Pendennis Castle along the scenic route (of course you can walk it) and take in the full view of the shipyard, the town and the Carrick Roads. There's nearly always one or two ice cream vans in the car park at the top of the hill selling the wonderful cornish Kelly's... More

We had a fascinating time watching life on this waterfront. The big refuelling at sea ship (TrueSpring?) was in dock having sailed from South Korea as it had been on the news the night before it was interesting to watch this huge ship surrounded by the general everyday life of Falmouth harbour. Find a cafe on the waterfront and settle... More

You can't beat a stroll on the prom. The views of all the boats bobbing about and the ships in the dock, really lovely. We were lucky to have a sunny windy day to enjoy this gem.

Drove completely round the Promenade, saw plenty of ships in the harbour. But construction work being carried out. Drove on past the castle entrance, carpark on the left, nice views across the estuary towards the lighthouse. A couple of small fortifications for kiddies to climb around.

Thank Bob H
