Gardens are a wonder of nature. Such a wonderful selection of magnificent trees and shrubs. A leisurely walk, taking in village and gardens, takes a couple of hours. Don't forget your camera. Maze looks interesting (didn't go in on this visit), I can imagine kids having lots of fun.

A delightful tranquil gardens that lead you down to a tiny fishing village at the lower end. Maze is great fun and there are plenty of benches to pause and soak up the peace and quiet. Nice little tea shop at the top.

Came here for the maze, but captivated by the gardens. Glendurgan is a National Trust run Gardens. The house is private. The Gardens wind down to Durgan village on the Helford river, the maze being about half way. We came just before the season close, so most of the magnificent magnolias and camellias were long past flowering, but the autumn... More

I came here deliberately despite having a very limited budget because I had always wanted to visit the place ever since I heard about it on the internet. I was lucky that a family member had also bought me a National Trust membership for my husband's birthday so we can go out together, though I did this without him as... More

It's intimate beauty and elegance engulfs you as you slowly walk around. Even though it's late in the season you can still see the last of the Hydrangeas showing off and you will be rewarded by the beautiful Autumn colours. Most of all, do make time to walk to the hamlet of Durgan and take in the beauty of the... More

You wend your way through ferns and palms, bamboo thickets, till you pop out at the NT holiday cottages at Durgan, and stroll along the pretty river estuary. A snooze in the autumn sun, before enjoying a failed attempt to get to the centre of the Gelndurgan maze! Cream tea to top it off.....a very delightful slow day in a... More

This garden tumbles down a hidden valley to a 'time forgotten' small traditional fishing village. BLISS. There are no formal gardens, just lush shrub and tree specimens and an AMAZING maze. There is a shop and separate small cafe near the entrance to the gardens and a small fisherman's hut at the water front. It has a drinks, snacks and... More

This garden is worth an all-day visit. The gardens are beautiful in all seasons, and the maze is mind-blowing. Follow it (if you can avoid getting lost) all the way down to water.

Visited this beautiful garden recently with my parents. Wonderful walk with the surprise of the beach. I spent ages looking for pretty shells and searching for crabs! During October you can make a crown out of fallen leaves, which myself and Mum really enjoyed. We also had a very tasty lunch at the cafe of seafood chowder. Most def will... More
