Wonderful architecture, great place to walk around and learn about. Lovely in the summer with the external gardens. Would visit again.

This is a very peaceful Cathedral to visit with history going back many years. The external Garden is also a place to walk, sit and meditate. Set right in the Town centre easy walking distance of many more interesting places to visit.

I loved it here. Well maintained and steeped in history. Free to get in, but they ask for a donation which is to help with maintenance. If you like old building, architecture, have an interest in history and/or religion, it is well worth a visit.

An absolute delight, with so much to see and do - we never get tired of this place. Enjoy the peaceful chapels of contemplation, admire the magnificent organ and marvel at the ornate carvings and misericords. The garden is wonderful with a gorgeous sculptured centrepiece in the middle of a lush green paradise. We were lucky enough to do the... More

Found it rather strange to have a gift shop in a Cathedral... Lovely building in a lovely town surrounded by nice tea shops and shopping centre.

I don't know how many times I've been to Chester and never really noticed the Cathedral. Somehow you don't think of it as a Cathedral city - a Roman city yes but not a Cathedral city - even though it's this massive building right in the middle of the city centre. My son and I went in as we had... More

Sometimes as a musician, you need to focus, you need to channel in to your inner spirit. To walk in to the cathedral gives me that strength, confidence and courage to continue my job each day. The pipe organ installed here is a beautiful example of modern meets historic and it's pure tonal presence is stunning..

Really liked the lego model of the cathedral and they run regular services on the weekend and weekdays. There also guides to help.
