Well worth a trip to the races if you're in town when they're on! The Dee enclosure and open course offer cheaper tickets and with no need to get your best clothes on. Drinks and food at the racecourse are fairly expensive but open course provides opportunity to take your own picnic (unfortunately these days minus your own alcohol) to... More

Lovely atmosphere a bit of harmless fun having a flutter and sampling the bubbly. It gets very busy so don't leave it until the last minute to enter or you may miss the first race. The queues can be long to place your bets but there are a lot of them so you can move about. we tend to go in... More

I attended at Race Course this week in the evening for my annual Christmas Do. We paid £77.00 each for a private dining room, a three course meal and unlimited booze for the night with a 1.00.am bar. I / we really enjoyed the night, the staff were friendly and polite and we were looked after from start to finish.... More

……and very fair entrance prices for all. Excellent facilities throughout and good service. Also ideal for visiting the City Centre either before or after ‘race day’. A few problems with those the ‘worse for wear’ on the day…. surprisingly, mostly ladies….. but goes with the territory I suppose. All issues to be fair were well managed by the course staff.... Great bands, horse races, food - only disappointment was that the face painting queue was SO long and some of the rides our daughter couldn't go on as was too small.

It was inexpensive as 30+ of us went on a charrabang. what a good night we all had. we went for the deal with a meal. I've never seen a fish that big on a plate. Well worth a visit. You wont be disappointed. Some won , some lost as usual, but worth every penny that I lost.

The thing that sets Chester Racecourse apart for me is the family friendly atmosphere. The management team go out of their way to create a fun filled day for everyone with fairground rides, chariot racing as well as superb eateries and a sensible framework for drinking. Children under 16 are free so its quite affordable, we love to watch the... More

Ive been to Chester Races a couple of times and the return visit was due to the Birthday Girls choice as I would never waste my money again on the course. 13 Ladies paid over £40.00 each and then to see seats empty but not in our area and to be told that we couldn't sit down was unbelievable, it... Attended with a large group of friends. Lots of money spent on new outfits adhering to the dress code for the champagne area and getting there to find out that if you are a 'celeb' you don't have to adhere to the dress code and can get in with jeans! Poor policy management and makes a joke out of the... More
