Chester is the oldest racecourse in the UK and possibly the world, the first recorded race was held on February 9th 1539. We have 15 race days a year and host numerous other events throughout the year. The company is responsible for two racecourses and all catering and conference facilities at Bangor on Dee and Chester, along with an on course hotel - the Holiday Inn Express, restaurants 1539 and The White Horse on site and Commonhall Social in the city of Chester. The company also provide external catering services for third party events.

Went on the 16/09, bloody brilliant day, the champagne bar is excellent, no queues for the betting or alcohol, so close to the horses in the paddock all in all a great top notch day 🙂🙂🙂

Chester is the oldest racecourse in england. Walking distance from city centre. Great facilities. Attracts some great horses and there are some wonderful meetings here.

Greig got it spot on - obviously Grandstand area by winning line is very popular for viewing the racing but the tunnel at the winning line leads over to the centre of the track - very buzzy loads of food and drink outlets... More

Beer and cider around £5 a pint for plastic tumblers and wine roughly the same.
