A great walk with great views of Chester. Very enjoyable. Had information points so you could read the history while you were walking. Quite a few steps so probably wouldn’t manage if you were a wheelchair user.

A really nice way to explore Chester. You can use the wall to navigate around the city and see the sights below.

Amazing histroy right under your feet, Super views of the racecourse, the river, the famous clock, the canal and railway plus lots more. Beware though, quite a bit of up and down over bridges.

Nice to walk around just a pity the majority of the shops are chain stores now possibly due to the council charges for the rent

Sorry for the delay in replying. The wall is free and open at all times. No guided tour but plaques explaining local sights and information at various points along the wall. The castle keep is free to to look around.

Loads of car parks in the centre, Grosvenor Hotel car park entrance - 1 mins to walls. Law Courts / river area car parks - 1 mins to wall. Race course / Market area car parks (lots of them) - 1 mins to walks - hope this helps
