A great regional theatre, offering a good selection of shows many touring from London's west end. Staff are friendly, a good view from both the stalls or circle. Well worth a visit if you don't want to travel to London or if price is a factor, as ticket prices are far less than London.

We visited on a fairly hot May Day. The areas out side of the auditorium were beautifully air conditioned however once seated we noticed how warm the auditorium was, by the time the play was underway the temperature was almost unbearable. The seats were cramped with little leg room and very narrow, though visibility was good. Although we really enjoyed... More

For a Wednesday night the theatres was really full, Fracked with James Bolam and Anne Reid is one of the best shows we've seen in ages, and the set was just simple and brilliant hats off to the set designers. Wherever this show goes next, make sure you see it 10/10 Brilliant

Be sure to check out this theatre before your trip and buy your tickets in advance online so you will get the seats you want. We saw a splendid performance of 84 Charing Cross Road while there.

Visited theatre to see The Play that went Wrong. Great play but we could not see the set from our seats as it was out of our view.. Everyone in the area was irritated by the frustration of not seeing the action when all the audience were laughing.. It was a pity the producer had not realised this befor. We... More

Watched The Play that goes Wrong here 22.04.17. I have written a separate view for the play; this is purely about the theatre. Seats were absolutely fine for me! We sat in the middle of row e of the circle. Clear view. Good raking. Seats off set so I didn't have a head in front of me. My partner struggled... More

We had booked tickets to see the popular farce 'The Play that goes Wrong' our seats were in row A numbers 27 & 28, when we found our seats we were disappointed because the actual seat was very narrow, there was no leg room (I am only 5'3" and my knees were squashed against the barrier) I also could only... Hi there, Thank you for your review. Seats A 1-3 and 27-29 in the Circle are advertised as Reduced Legroom and bookers are notified by Box Office (if booking over the phone or in person) or on our website. The ticket prices for these seats are also slightly cheaper to reflect this. We're very sorry you were not comfortable during... More

The difficulty here is whether to review the play of the theatre Here goes - The theatre is somewhat bijoux but a lovey venue - My difficulty is extreme long legs and hence most theatres present a problem so I take end of row seats. There isn't a lot of space even on end of row for the most part... More

Not the first time I have been to the Arts I perhaps go a couple of times a year. My wife and I saw 'Gaslight' which was very enjoyable. The theatre has been updated often but still comes across as old style which i nice, the entrance and bar/seating areas are modern but the theatre itself is a bit dated.... More

This is a lovely little theatre which now has some really good plays coming over the next few months. We went to see Gaslight which was brilliant. The cast were really good as you would expect. It is nice to go to a local theatre and experience London West End shows without the hassle of travelling to London.
