Terrific museum, and free entry, to boot. Surprisingly big and varied, too. Occasional free lunchtime concerts. We took one in on our last visit which added further to the experience.

The Fitzwilliam is an excellent museum will constantly changing exhibitions as well as the permanent displays. Watch out for events. The gift shop is a great source of gifts and cards, and the cafe a peaceful rest stop.

This Museum is housed in a beautiful building and laid out to allow you to experience it as either compartmentalised artistic collections or a timeline of art history. It is from a British perspective only in the sense that the collection reflects the interests of,...More

A beautiful building housing an interesting mix of arts (paintings, ceramics, glassware, metalwork, furniture) and even though half of it is currently closed for refurbishment, there was still plenty to see. Would like to return when the refurb is completed. There is no entry fee...More
