Tucked away and not immediately obvious to us. Nice area of historic interest. Shame about the very loud music coming from a pub near the top of the steps.

Climbed the steps on the way to the museum. Quaint corner. Photo op at the top, sitting in the niches. Don't miss the alms houses to the left at the top. Very pretty indeed.

Historic steps but now badly marred by litter, graffiti and empty shops. Rather like most of Bristol city centre,I'm afraid. Oh,and large numbers of dossers. Very very depressing.

Called in for a snack on arriving in Bristol at lunch time Lots of atmosphere and if you are hungry the sandwiches are enormous, the beer is good too.

Went to Bristol city centre via the Christmas steps. If you're not good with steep steps then best avoided. Some great vintage style shops here, part of old Bristol.

Found these whilst visiting Bristol. Very old steps and alleyway, not much more to see as not many shops there

I remeber coming here many moons ago and revisited last weekend - rather a let down - too much rubbish and several empty shops made it less vibrant than it could be. This is a pity, as it could be more of a visitor attraction.

This is a very old street ,steep steps ,but very worth seeing gives you an insight in to what it was like in the times of sailing ships .

Pretty little shops route through the centre of Bristol. Always mentioned in tourist guides, but it's not astounding as far as tourist attractions go. Nice hideaway shortcut away from the traffic though. Steps - the clue's in the name - so I wouldn't recommend to...More
