Bristol Zoo has received plaudits from a number of quarters and it is easy to see why. This compact zoo on Clifton Down is a delight to visit. The car parking is well-organised, there is a lot to see, it has a number of attractions for children and several of the special pavilions allow for excellent views of the animals.... More

We had a brilliant day out at the zoo. There were a vast amount of animals which I’d never seen before. The zoo was laid out very well. The live feeds were great. The keepers were full of information and enthusiastic. It was great to see most of the animals in big open areas.

I've been visiting this zoo since the days of Johnny Morris and Wendy the elephant and it is like an old friend. However, the toilet facilities aren't just up to the amount of people. I came last week and there was a huge queue at all the toilets I saw with many small children in need :(

Had a really good day out at Bristol zoo on Tuesday. The weather was lovely (which helped), spent about 4 hours there, I think the adult ticked are slightly over priced but the food on site was reasonable. My daughter really enjoyed the day & loved looking at all the animals. Unfortunately we could not feed them birds & the... More

If your looking for a traditional zoo with traditional zoo animals then this place isn't for you. However don't let this put you off! The range of animals it has is fantastic. With little surprises such as a twilight walk full of creatures prone to the dark as well as bug world and an aquarium which aren't typically associated with... More

Had previously been told that this zoo is on the small side. It isn't huge but a nice size with animals you don't always see. We stayed here for about 4 hours, family of 4, 10-39 years. The food was not the best for the price so whilst the new restaurant is being built i would take a picnic. The... More

I've been wanting to visit the zoo for a while, in particular to see the Aye-ayes, but upon arriving in the zoo before midday and going through the nocturnal house the noise was deafening, the animals were showing much more stereotypical behaviours than when we revisited in the afternoon when the nocturnal house was almost empty, plus there was only...
