the Mirador of Nauta is about 10 stories high with a 360 degree view of the source of the Amazon Basin/river. this is where 3 rivers intersect and form the Amazon. the Mirador is in a small Indian village, run by the Peruvian government. it is so peaceful, that you could sit and take in the view all day. it is about an hour or more in a small boat from the port of Nauta, and on the way you can see the dolphins jumping out of the water. this is a great side trip!!!…

Very expensive. A rip off for on a budget travellers. We managed to pay the Peruvian price since we started walking away refusing to pay the double for a tourist. Its hard to see where the money is going since the upkeep of the tower is bad. Beautiful views from the top but it seems to be too set back from the rivers to actually view the confluence properly.…
