This is one of my favourite places. It is surrounded by a 10 km trail, great for a weekend hike. There are several accesses to the water and even a boat ramp. Another location has a fishing float that's safe and stable for all ages to fish from or just go read a book and watch others. On the east... More

Visited with family including a baby. Good,. well marked trails, great views over the lake and some wildlife to be seen. Not crowded and the path is used by a mixture of adults, families, joggers, dog-walkers and horse riders. We walked for about two hours but kept away from the area near the Highway. Good space for parking and useful... More

Every time I drove to the ferry or returned from the ferry, I always wanted to check this park out. I had my chance last weekend. This is a very nice place The beach is wonderful, the water is clear, lots of sun and lots of shade, great picnic area, nice boat launch thing.

We have been to Elk/Beaver Lake quite a few times now, for beautiful walks around the lakes but recently we barbecued in a covered area that contains six (I believe) barbecue pits. The scenery is breathtaking and it is only 20-30 mins. From Downtown by car!

elk and beaver lakes are actually one oddly shaped lake. its a nice long walk without having to be a marathoner and it has nice beaches for sunning or swimming. there is a well-used rowing facility and a variety of rowing clubs use the lake. a great day out with lots of parking.

I have run the trails around Beaver and Elk Lakes for years but am now visiting the Beaver Lake park/beach area with my young grandchildren. The climbing equipment is beautifully shaded under trees just steps from the beach. It is a good family activity area.

It will take you the entire day if you want to explore most of the entire park. The various beach areas are popular with people who like to swim and relax during the summer months. This park/beach is one of the major popular ones in the Greater Victoria region. It is also one of the larger ones. The Canada national... More

Beautiful, quiet and 2 hours of walking. Love doing this walk alone or with a friend. You may end up saying hello to a few horses along the way.
