We were in the area and did the 10k hike around the lake but 60% all you hear is the traffic from the highway. There is many other places to explore on the area without the noise. It did have some great views along the...More

The trails are great and the dogs love the walks as well as the kids enjoy the ducks in the lake. I haven't swam here for a lot of years but many people do.

Stopped by on way to ferry. At the time we were there it was very quiet and peaceful although I could imagine that it got a bit busy on summer weekends. Parking was readily available but signposting not great. Didn't see any elk or beaver.

We wanted to find a nice swimming lake in Victoria so we drove to Beaver Beach. Do not swim or take your pets here, there is blue green algae which is deadly to animals. And can make you very sick..

Elk and Beaver lake have wonderful trails and multiple beachs. Bring a bbq and spend the day. Located 5 mins out side downtown Victoria. Dog Friendly and a " dog park" to boot. The lake often closes for swimming based on water quality. The water...More

This Capital Regional Park is used by hikers, marathoners, cyclists, fishers, rowers, equestrians, bird watchers, picnickers, paddlers, dog walkers and daycares. The complete walk around both adjoining lakes is 10 km on the main trail and some parts of trail are narrow so always stay...More

We stopped off to see the lake. There are loads of different carparks all around the lake. Some of them have public toilets and playgrounds for children. There is a well marked pretty flat 10k trail all around the lake which takes about 2-3 hours...More
