About
Edward and Vintage is set in the heart of the Peak District. Housed in the former post office in the village of Tissington. Edward and Vintage is situated at the start of two wonderful foot paths taking you across fields to the Tissington trail. A great venue to get your supplies for the walk or to sit and enjoy a handmade ice-cream in the gardens of the cottage after a day exploring.

Fantastic little gem
May 2021 • Friends
Second time visiting, made sure we came again because of the variety of sweets on offer! The shop isn’t wheelchair friendly and small inside, which was expected and wasn’t a problem as the shop keeper was kind enough to bring out a selection of sweets / tell us what we might like. He did this a number of times and this was appreciated.

There is a huge range of sweets, chocolate and ice cream. As well as a few benches to sit outside.

If anything could be improved - a board outside with an idea of what was sold would be helpful.

Highly recommended. We will come again for sure.

What a lovely sweet shop this is. The owner is very friendly and it was nice to have sweets that you remember from your childhood. Highly recommended the salted caramel ice cream with salted caramel sauce.

A Retro Sweetshop in the pretty village of Tissington
Dec 2019
Having read lots of positive reviews on Edward and Vintage and seeing photographs of the charming and quirky interior, we decided to visit. On entering, we were welcomed with a smile and the vast collection of sweets that were on offer which therefore made it difficult to choose which one to buy.

Eventually, we decided on two bars of fudge- lovely and crumbly it was too and I could taste the almonds in the Cherry Bakewell flavour and the Lemon Cheesecake flavoured fudge was scrumptious and not too sweet.

We also ordered a Cinder Toffee ice cream and every mouthful was enjoyed. In addition to this we also bought a selection of some Winter Fruit Mix sweets.

Thank you.

A happy step back in time!

We visited Edward and Vintage while on a trip to pretty Tissington. As soon as we stepped through the door we were sent on a journey back in time, a definite happy place! The variety of sweet treats on offer was amazing and the warm welcome from the gentleman behind the counter was fantastic. We’re really looking forward to eating our treats, especially the rum balls!! Will definitely be back next time we are in the area!!

Customer service at its best
Oct 2019
This was our first port of call on arriving for our first holiday in the Peak District, staying in Tissington. The shop is enchanting and the lady who served us, the owners mum, was absolutely lovely. She offered a treat to our dog while we were in awe of the selection of sweets on offer. I was delighted to see jars of sherbet in various colours, took me back to buying a bag after school and all dipping into one bag ( I am 60 and no health and safety back then!) we made our purchases, after a lovely chat with the lady, and look forward to returning during our stay and hopefully meeting her son

Very disappointing.
Sep 2019
Arrived at gates to the village with banners telling us Tissington Village open for business. We visited on Wednesday 18th September, had coffee which was very good, nice clean loos. There were signs advertising the shop, so we walked up the village only to find it closed!

So sorry to have missed you. As a small business I am sure you can appreciate we can not be open every day of the week, as a sole trader even I need a day or two off, our web page www.edwardandvintage.co.uk advertises our opening hours as does google and our facebook page. Maybe next time you visit you may want to have a look at when all the businesses are open, before coming to visit. Best wishes Dave
