A good collection of Northern Art

Well worth a visit. You can buy prints, carvings, and interesting artefacts across a broad price range.

There was a hearty inventory in this store. As a novice to Northern art, I had no clue what was good caliber work, what materials were worth the prices being asked for, or anything about the carvers and artists. I would have welcomed more initiative and guidance from the staff or a brief document to take around with me as... More

This place is exactly as advertised in some of the posted pics. Wall to wall collection. The operator has a network of carvers and the prices are very good. I bought multiple pieces at a discount. The selection is not as large as another shop in town but I found exactly what I was looking for.

Lots and lots of local craftys, cravings galour. Little high in price, so shop around before deciding on what you like. Spent over an hour her, lots to look at.

There is a large collection of arts and crafts here, but the prices are higher than the museum gift shop for similar items. More of an "experience" than Carvings Nunavut. Less curated than Nunavut Fine Arts and Crafts.

Wander up Federal Road and you'll eventually find this little gem tucked away on Ulu Lane. As with most places in Iqaluit, you can walk there quite easily (7-10 minutes past the legislative Assembly). There's no shortage of traditional and unique art available. Nunavut and Nunavik are both well represented here. Pieces are reasonably priced. Even if you don't intend... More
