Lovely walk around the lake, despite all the rain we’ve had lately the paths were relatively mud free apart from a couple of large puddles. People might moan about the cost of car parking but if you have children the fantastic play area must make...More

Went here for coffee and snack, cafe popular with walkers and those with Dogs. Cafe has inside order system and seating, would be nice if this area was bigger, sadly could not find a seat, does have a log burner so nice and cosy. Outside...More

Visited here with family for an afternoon’s walk. Childoplay area was good but was undergoing some maintenance work. The car park and cafe were very expensive, so better to take a flask to keep the costs down. Walk around the lake was pleasant, if only...More

Stupidly brilliant views. Free entry but car park is quite expensive hence why only four star! Lovely for dog walks, walking, any form of physical exercise and especially good for a chill out space!

So a walk round the lake on a cold morning was a perfect way to blow some cobwebs away – lots of groups of dogs in their winter coats added to the amusement and the coffee afterwards was good. If I lived over this way...More

Bright but chilly Sunday afternoon walk around the place, we're within walking distance of here, takes 30mins, always enjoy the wander around the lakes and popped into the Dragonfly Cafe eatery here too for a quick bite to eat and a drink.

We live a short distance from the park and visit monthly. On our last walk it is too muddy to navigate with a buggy. Some paths have been treated to an upgrade although the first lake path has not. It does deter us as it...More

Such a lovely place! 45 min walk around the lake at a slow/moderate pace. Sometimes muddy/puddles so can get slippy as with any country paths. Lots of children/dogs around and great play area for the kids. More like an adventure playground. Parking is £1.20 per...More

Went for first time today. Very nice place. Perfect for children around 4-8 years old. Not so much for smaller kids and 10 plus aged children will be bored. But for young children it’s perfect. £4.50 for three hours parking is good value as you...More
