We visited January 3rd so definitely out of tourist time. The owners said they were new but I'm not sure how long they have had the winery. They were very friendly and we enjoyed talking with them. We sampled a couple of the wines and did buy a couple of bottles. They were all priced at $10 which is very... More

Had an amazing time there with my wife. Excellent homemade wine and a beautiful surroundings there. Definitely a place to check out and taste test some wine. Price of wine is also very affordably good priced. Great time and great people.

Nice store with good prices. Nice selection of different types of things such as gifts, wine of course and food products. Sampled some of the wines. If you call ahead, you can also get a tour of the winery. Enjoyed our visit and the owners were pleasant to chat with.

We were impressed by the wine - best for dessert wines and those who like ports or sweet wines. They use maple syrup in the making of their wine. The prices were excellent - $12 to $15 for most bottles and $20 or so for the sweeter wines. The gift shop was very well priced too.

Last fall, my wife and I finally decided to drop by this winery, which we would always pass when driving to and from our cottage in the Haliburton Highlands. The selection of wines is quite unique and the shop has some interesting gift items. Our host (the owner) was very helpful in explaining the various wines during the wine-tasting, following... More

We stopped here on our way to Sir Sam's Inn. We bought some wine and maple syrup. Lots of little gifts to look at and great wine to taste.

A taste of Haliburton! Just 5 minutes north of Haliburton Village on the 118, Moon Shadow Winery is easy to get to, a sweet country store with charming cottagy decor, and a winery. It took 2 years to get an official designation of maple-wine and 'estate' means that the maple syrup is made by this company, so give these wines... More

Arrived there before noon on a Saturday morning and my wife and I were greeted by the nice couple that operate the winery/gift shop. Very quant spot, clean and friendly. This was our first time at a winery and very impressed with the setup and information we learned about the unique wines they offer. If you are travelling to Haliburton,... More
