We frequently stop here on the way to Scarborough. Ample parking space, attractive, clean premises, excellent coffee and cakes, and Yorkshire art by local artists. If you have deep pockets, you can buy some unique original works. If not, try the lovely granary rolls with various fillings (I had a generously filled smoked salmon and cream cheese), served with crisps... More

We often stop here on the way to Scarborough from Lincolnshire for coffee and cake. Today it was yummy plum and almond, and the art, as others have stated, is local and interesting and also affordable.

Popped in for coffee and cake, early afternoon, limited choice available at that time. Closes at 4pm. The café visit was pleasant enough with an opportunity to browse the work of local artists too.

I usually have the trout, which is always good, but for a change this time I chose the nut roast in a red wine jus, and was pleased that I had as this is one of the best nut roasts (yes, I'm a veggie) I have eaten. The friends who were with us also enjoyed the food, the ambience -... More

Popped in to the coffee shop and gallery and it was fantastic. I had a delicious home made cake, quiche and coffee and it was superb. The gallery was full of local artists work and it was lovely. Highly recommend going there, excellent.

What more could you ask? Oh yes, cake! And they've got that too! Col Waffle partook of the almond & blueberry when we visited yesterday & I stuck with the traditional scone. Both were excellent. The changing exhibitions in the gallery are always worth seeing & they had some lovely ceramics as well. Oh, & they play Classic FM. I... More

I've often driven past this Gallery withour realising what lay behind the barn-style door! It describes itself as "A Showcase for Northern Contemporary Art" and that is spot on. Really enjoyed the mix of paintings and scultures. Had tea and scones in the garden and came away feeling very relaxed. As the exhibits are changed quite regularly, this is a... More
