This is my favourite beach in the area, situated on the Air force's wing 5, the beach is long with plenty of loungers and tables and various restaurants offering food to your table on the beach, very safe for children lots of sand (watch out for the tiny crabs, don't worry they hide when they see you coming) Bring a... Lovely beach inside the prachuap air base grounds. Stunning scenic views of mountains around. Pay 10baht for a sun lounger or seats. 30 baht for an inflatable doughnut ring to mess around on which are great Craic. It's a much nicer beach than the one in prachuap town. We'll worth going the extra few miles to get to it

We traveled south from Hua-Hin to Chumphon and stopped for a few hours in Ao Manao. The place is located inside Wing 5 air force base and therefor spotless. First we went to visit the Languor monkeys - a unique experience of hand feed and photo-opp. with cute and polite monkeys. next we went to Ao-Manao for some attractions but... More

This is a great place if you're looking to wind down at a beach and play with cute monkeys who will get up close to you as you can tell they have been accustomed to humans. They are not aggressive but will grab food out of your hand or if you're carrying a bag of corn cobs, so do not... More

We hired a self drive tuk tuk to come here as it wasn't easy finding a driver to take us back from the beach. Beach was nice, very warm water and very safe for children. It was low season and we ordered beer and meals from our deck chairs. The meals were very ordinary but I think not many eateries... More

Drive to Prachuapkhirikhan, about 100km south of Hua Hin and find an excellent, almost deserted beach. Ao Manao is quiet and clean, has ample parking in the shade. Local food and bathrooms are available. The beach is accessible by driving through the local air base called WING 3

We recently spent a weekend in Prachuap Khiri Khan and headed absolutely fell in love with Ao Manao Beach! It is located inside the Wing 5 Air Force Base right in Prachuap city. The beach is huge and military personnel keep it spotless! The bay is protected by many small islands so the water is calm and safe even for... More

It took around two and half hours from Bangkok to Ao Manao by car. But it worth ! The beach is beautiful and clean. You can swim on the beach. There are 2 or 3 public bathroom to use after swim at the beach, and you just pay around 5 - 10 baht only. The best time to visit this... More

Having rented a house in Hua Hin for a month, we did a fair bit of touring around the surrounding area. We stopped here on our way back to Hua Hin from Pratchuap Khiri Khan. The guard at the gate did give us kind of a weird look when we said we were going to the beach (maybe not a... More
