We have had a short stop with some dinner at the local store. I don't really get, why some people call this one of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand...if there are emptier and similar places just 20min away by car

On Wing 5 Royal Thai Air Force. Bring a passport to sign onto and off of the base. The beach is about seven minutes from the main gate of the base, about 50THB/person tuk-tuk fare. The beach has many food vendors on the other side...More

This is a beautiful beach to visit and a welcome break after busy Bangkok. We assumed that our next stop ko Tao would be even prettier, but it actually wasn't. Ao Manao is quiet and clean with beautiful surroundings.

The beach is very clean and well-maintained due to its location in military base. Highly Recommended for anyone visiting the nearby Prachaup area.

Ao Manao is so calm. But the beach is not as white as others, perhaps it was located near the mouth of the river.

We went on foot. A bit far but doable. At the entrance of wing 5 you have to register. We didn't have our passport with us but got in anyway. The museum is closed, so is the mountain. You can only climb it on long...More
