We had an excellent time learning about Dr. Bethune's contribution to China and medicine. The kids absolutely loved the Explorers program and it helped them learn about Bethune through the questions, looking for clues throughout the exhibit. We took advantage of the Canada 150 free...More

Bethune House is beautifully restored and the museum is full of rich information, photos and displays of surgical instruments designed by Dr. Bethune. Very interesting and a great homage to a man who is revered in China but barely known here. Must be seen.

Well done. Many people do not know the role Norman Bethune played in the health of the world and in the history of Canada. This is very well done and extremely interesting. A must see.

We dropped by on the way to visit this heritage museum and tribute to a truly great and selfless man. The museum isn't large but it packs a lot of key highlights of Bethune's life and his medical achievements and his selfless giving to help...More

Admittedly, I remember very little about Dr. Norman Bethune from my Canadian history classes. The museum and adjacent memorial house where Bethune grew up were a good local attraction in Gravenhurst. You will probably spend about 1 hour here if you take the time to...More
