This house has been very well maintained and provides a great insight in to the town’s history. The rooms are well laid out and you can move around quite freely. There are some interesting exhibits on topics like commerce and social life in the town....More

From the advertising "see how people lived at the time" , I was expecting to see lots of furniture, dishes, etc, from the era, but most of the rooms were full of printed informational posters about the history of the house rather than having them...More

This provided a very useful introduction to the town, explaining much about the early residents and bringing the history to life with displays of costumes etc.

We were given an excellent free guided tour of this house by a very pleasant girl in period costume. It was very interesting to hear of its history and how people used to live in Lunenburg. They also have an excellent display of historic clothing...More

The flax spinning weaving display with in period actors is stunningly good, not to be missed. This house is a quick inexpensive (donations only) way to view how folks lived in the day.

Small museum highlighting some of the important historical information of Lunenburg. This is a self guided tour so I'm not sure this would be the best acitivity for small kids, but for adults that enjoy stopping and reading infromation it's very informative. Admission is just...More

An interesting gem of information on how British settlements were created in the 1700's and particularly how Lunenburg was created and settled in 1751. Has rooms of period clothing over the centuries, plus original settlers and their families, why this is a UNESCO Heritage site...More
