Went to Lunenburg in late October and by that point the Bluenose II is not "open for business" anymore. She was parked along a part of the dock that was blocked off, so we could only see a small part of her. A tiny bit disappointing but it was still nice to see her none the less. The view of... More

We went for a sail on the Bluenose II. Had a great time even though it wasn't a windy day we still had a nice sail. Saw some dolphins along the way. The Bluenose II is a great platform to take pictures of Lunenburg from. The crew and captain were great. More than helpful answering questions. If you are in... More

By late October, the summer crowds are gone, so it's a good time to explore. A Although we've been to Lunenburg a half dozen times, this was the first time the Blue Nose II was actually there. She was being readied for winter. On her deck was a giant wood scaffolding that apparently forms a frame for her winter shrink... More

Only 10 km from Lunenburg. Park your car and wander about. Great photo opportunities. Classic seaside views.

So you couldn't go aboard. However you can still find out about it in the nearby museum, the museum of the Atlantic. She is still very beautiful and worth seeing if you there for the museum and lovely waterfront.

Our original voyage was cancelled as they were having some mechanical problems with the engine. Of course, we were very disappointed as the day was in our original opinion - perfect! Calm, blue sky and warm temperature... We were lucky to get a couple of tickets to their morning sail a couple of days later. Of course, the weather was... More

We stopped in on our way through the countryside, it is a colourful little place with some great history, The Bluenose was here closed for the season , yet quite a beautiful boat. So are the views into the Bay with all of the sail boats and rolling hills

Despite all the issues with the rebuild it always makes me wish I was a sailor. the vessel is beautiful, the crew informative. Even tied at the wharf it is impressive. Tourists love this vessel.

A party of four, we had made reservations for the Bluenose II weeks ahead. When the moment for boarding arrived, a beautiful September day, we were told to "wait". And wait we did. We waited for over 45 minutes for a faulty sensor to the generator to be paired. Despite several false moments of hope, we were ultimately told thee... More
