Fernie Alpine Reort is located just outside of Fernie BC and is a large ski and snowboard area in winter and a hiking and mountain biking area in summer. There is an alpine village at the base where you can eat, drink or get some gear if you need it and accomodations located right on the hill. The hill has... More

This is a very large resort that is made of 5 different bowls. Fernie has about the same skiable acreage as Snowbird. There is a wide variety of terrain from easy green runs to big steep double black diamond chutes. Virtually any skier or boarder should be able to find runs they can enjoy. I particularly like the local vibe... More

We went skiing at Fernie in late December! It was so incredible the amount of snow that the mountain received. It was my first time skiing in powder that deep, so I am excited for my next visit. There are also quite a few restaurant options there and most chairs were operational! Great experience!

The snow is as good as it could possibly be thanks to mother nature the runs are challenging and the views are wonderful. Your skiing experience ends there. The parking is a joke unless you arrive at the crack of opening you wind up in the most remote location as far away from the lifts as you can imagine. The... More

So glad Mother Nature delivered and yes we are fortunate to have amazing terrain! With that incredible snow and this time back to back storms it for sure created not only great interest from skiers and snowboarders to visit but also made it challenging to get all of our available parking ready in time. In addition to snow clearing we... More

Some of the best powder skiing I have enjoyed in the last decade. Lots of smiling friendly lift attendants when we got on the lifts. Great ski-in ski out accommodations. Awesome vacation!

This is a great resort! We stayed here for New Years (at The Griz) and it was a great time. I didn't get up on the chair lift (I'm a beginner) but I did take lessons and my teacher, Laura, was excellent. Very patient, very encouraging and supportive. Definitely helped me learn. The staff on the moose lift were great... More

I've been to mountains in Whistler, Vancouver, Rossland and the Okanagan. Fernie by far is the prettiest mountain I've ever been on. We really lucked on the weather with the sun peaking out for most of the day. There are a variety of runs ranging from green, blue to black. Some were groomed and some with powder. You will have... This resort definitely gets good snow, and when the weather cooperates, the hill is set up well and has a huge area with excellent riding. However, for being one of the most expensive ski hills in Canada, it's run poorly. Waiting an hour to get lift tickets is unacceptable. When you're being charged 100$ a day, you expect efficiency. Staff... More
