Only 20 minutes from Quebec City, the Parc National de la Jacques-Cartier...

Only 20 minutes from Quebec City, the Parc National de la Jacques-Cartier earned its nickname, “Québec City's Great Outdoors,” with its four-season playground. Winter play is on the area's two ski resorts, snow slides, and its new snowshoeing and Nordic skiing trails. Summertime finds travelers hanging at the lakes. Feeling adventurous? Spend the night in a yurt, primitive campsite or cottage in the woods.

This is a great park. Beware crazed cyclists delirious in a Red Bull buzz who will run you down. Goose poop can be everywhere so watch your step. At night parking lots are frequented by drug dealers and prostitution IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AT NIGHT NCC does not do nite patrols and police know it is a bad scene for... More

It's the bike path part of the Transcanadian bike path, it's a walk next to the river, the marina in the summer, the place to put down you blanket for the fireworks in August, the meeting for all the spring, summer and autumn events. It's home to the Snowflake kingdom during Winterlude, the greatest snow playground for young and old.... More

I had the opportunity of living litterally across the street from Jacques Cartier Park. This is without a doubt the best public park in Gatineau and the Outaouais side of the region. The National Capital Commission is responsible for its upkeep and does an excellent job. This park is neighbour to Canada's Museum of History and alongside the only national... More

Second time at the park during Family Day weekend. Super cold again and must bundle really well...but a great time. Outdoor ice slides, sculptures, ice tubing, entertainers. All round great way to spend a couple of hours so long as you manage the cold. Indoor warming area with hot chocolate was a welcome addition this year! Amazing for little ones.... More

We spent an hour or so in this park, near the foot of the MacDonald-Cartier bridge, to watch the Parliament Hill Canada Day fireworks from. This park provided a great spot to watch from, take photos and enjoy without massive crowds.
