Overview
More
Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park straddles the scenic Little Qualicum River, west of Parksville, where impressive waterfalls cascade and plummet down a rocky gorge in a beautiful forest setting. Perhaps the most magnificent park on Vancouver Island, Little Qualicum Falls incorporates the entire southern shore of Cameron Lake, adjacent to MacMillan Provincial Park and the awesome Cathedral Grove Rainforest. Cameron Lake is bordered by steep mountains: Mt. Wesley to the north and Mt. Arrowsmith to the south.

As you may infer from the title, we visited the falls in the winter and were rewarded for this with a peaceful walk mostly by ourselves. We would highly recommend visiting both the upper and lower falls as they are very different from each other.

I guess we've seen too many sets of short falls / gorges over the years in many Canadian locations, especially the Rockies. This one was very nice, but unfortunately water flow was very low because of an extremely dry summer. We're not sure if it...More

Nice short hike - trails a bit challenging in the winter ice and snow but quite a lovely place to visit. Highly recommended.

Great scenic walk and great views. Can be accessed from Provincial Park or from opposite side which involves a longer drive north from Qualicam and left on Baylis Road to Corcan Road and eventually on Meadowbrook (watch for signs to Meadowbrook Store) which means you...More

Despite a little bit of rain we decided to check out the park. The paths were well maintained and the views of the falls were spectacular. Would highly recommend.

Just a few minutes off Highway 4 and well worth a visit. Lots of places to sit down and take in the forest views and sounds of the ranging river below.

Upon reading other reviews we thought this was a quick out of the car to the falls and back. There is so much more than that if you truly want to see the falls. You can leave your car and walk to the base of...More

If you’re visiting the mid-island, the gorgeous falls and provincial park are right in the middle of everything, just a few minutes out of Parksville/Qualicum Beach, and right off the highway to Coombs, Cathedral Grove and Tofino. It’s on our circuit of “must see” attractions...More

Trails are well marked with places to sit and view the falls, have a picnic at the tables provided with shelter. Great for all ages!

A Must see if traveling anywhere near this gorgeous falls and trails. Any time of year it's a must see. Never camped there but the sites look good, don't think I would camp with little ones as River in almost ALL spots is dangerous.

There was, I’m told, a fee a long time ago. There is no charge at this time. There has not been a charge for many years.
