The most scenic theatre in Canada, the Thousand Islands Playhouse has two theatres on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, halfway between Toronto and Montreal, Canada. Featuring the longest decks in the region, The Springer Theatre is an intimate air conditioned vintage "canoe club" - and seats 360 with proscenium style seating. The Firehall Theatre is a heritage building with flexible seating open to innovative staging.

On the spur of the moment we decided to take in the Million Dollar Quartet and don't regret the decision at all. The performers were spot on both in their singing and in their performances. An interesting story brought to the stage with great energy...More

Went to a matinee of the Million Dollar Quartet which was excellent. Love the location and there is not a bad seat in the house. It is not easily accessible for folks with mobility issues - they used to have a golf cart which brought...More

We had the pleasure of attending the Moonlit Gala - a fundraising event for the fabulous 1000 Island Playhouse. What a fabulous night. Great food by The Riva, post show and after show. The play was typical top drawer caliber of what can be expected...More

Three of us arrived, after getting great service by the parking attendant, with tickets in hand to see 'Boom'. It turns out the tickets we had were for the night before. Oops on my part. They told us to stick around and they found us...More

Attended Boom and we were so glad we booked at the last moment. What a wonderful one man show that certainly took us all back in time. Great memories and a show not to miss. Only two weeks left!

I really enjoy seeing shows at the playhouse. Seats are awesome and the location on the water is great. Intermission on the porch is great.

Location is as much of a draw as the show! Overlooking the water provides a beautiful backdrop for some great local theatre. Really enjoyed seeing the fast passed comedy: A Grand Time in The Rapids.

This waterfront theatre was one of our highlights in this Thousand Island vacation. Within this air conditioned venue, we were entertained by a performance of "You Are Here". The solitary actress held our attention for almost 2 h. without an intermission. A difficult act to...More

I am bringing my parents to the cruise on Tuesday, August 18th. My elderly father uses a walker, and can only "do" a few steps. He also needs us to assist him in the washroom. We would like to do a cruise of 2-2.5 hours. Is this practical? Do you have handicap accessibility? Will there be a place for him to sit outside part of the time? Should we book now, or just show up on the date? Thank you for your assistance.

In relation to the cruise, I really cannot answer that question. What I can say is that there is a lot of hills around the harbour to walk, and it may be an impediment to your happiness. However, I assume the cruises are... More
