Beautiful monastery dedicated to Holly Mary, the view is fantastic, the drive there also... The monk's where very helpful and explained to us the history behind the monastery and the picture of Mary...

There are 136 steps to see the monastery originally from the 1300s. The church is beautiful but no pictures are allowed to be taken inside. There are two vendors selling herbs and honey at the entrance. There is no fee to see this and worth...More

Only a about 15km from Leonidio and worth the winding road through really beautiful and unspoilt country. The monastery is easily accessible as you can drive very close and from the entrance to the chapel is only a few hundred metres and not too many...More

It was a long winding drive to this cliff-hanging monastery but well worth the effort. The views are spectacular from the site and the scenery throughout the drive was beautiful. We were even given some delicious home made Turkish delight at the monastery.
