We stopped out one evening just to do some star gazing. It's amazing what you can see when you're away from town..the air is so clear most evenings it's like you're on top of the world.. we highly recommended it. Vern Anderson

It was so interesting to relive history. To stand at the look out and imagine that you were in the wild west with a herd of cattle or horses. It would be very easy to get lost or hide in the canyon. The view is spectacular and well worth having a picnic at the lookout in the summer.

This place was a bit difficult to find at first, but well worth the effort! You almost feel like you're in the Grand Canyon, but it's Canada! Made me appreciate even more our beautiful country; truly breathtaking! You can spend as much or as little time here as you wish. We hiked for a while with the kids, and they... More

Great stop when in the badlands. Views in the canyon are amazing and walking along the rim is easily accessible.

This is well worth the short drive out of Drumheller to see. The views across the bad lands are spectacular and for any budding geologist this is a fantastic opportunity to see some of the history of the land.

An unreal hiking experience, looks daunting for kids, but as long as you have a good navigator, it's a wonderful place to just explore! A must see!

Great view of this natural wonder in the Bandlands of Alberta. Great place to go for a hike . The parking lot is only meters from the edge of the canyon where you can see for miles and miles.

Beautiful views and a nice hike down in the canyon. Can be slippery if muddy. We enjoyed this. We had two dogs with us and they enjoyed the hike down also.

Tip 1: Arrive early to avoid buses with load of people in front of you. Tip 2: You will have plenty of space to take photos from up the hill. Take one hour (at least 30 minutes) to go down the trail and climb the hills. You will have a very different view than from uphill.
