We used to live a block away, and just about every day we would walk the pathways, talk to the squirrels, look for owls and wonder how many coyotes were eyeing us from the forest.

Burnaby. ....just East of Vancouver city on the high ground up Kingsway past Boundary road is a huge wooded park. Swangard football stadium and many other facilities. ..tennis courts, mini golf, hiking trails, parking no problem, it's a wonderful plus for greater Vancouver metroplex, recommended.

Great trail system, easy to navigate and lots of people watching. The trails are very very well maintained, nice and wide. Park is very clean, and gives you a sense of actually being in the woods while being in the city, a nice escape.
