Visited as part of the Tourism Challenge. The staff here are extremely nice and keen to help. If you have someone in your circle who is keen on history or the Industrial Revolution this is a must. It has fascinating exhibits and well placed info boards to cover most people's questions. Really worth the drive out and a stop off... More

Great museum that gives you a real sense of power generation one hundred years ago. You can walk right up to the turbines, generators and penstocks. Must-see if you're heading east out of Vancouver.

Thanks for your review. The powerhouse does have some great pieces that you can see up close and we're glad you enjoyed the displays. It's awesome to see how power generation has evolved over the years and to experience the history and how it helped shape the province. More

Lived here for many years. Driven over the dam lots. Stopped today to see the visitor centre. Realize now what I missed. Great deal of local history here. Had no idea it went back so many years. The guided tour is informative and interesting. I'd recommend it to anyone. Beautiful park adjacent so make a day of it.

Have always been here but never went inside. It has so many things to see and play with. Very interesting place, got a seasons pass for an extra $1 and it's good for revelstoke too. We didn't have time to go through the whole place so we will be back.

Hi, thanks so much for your review. It's great that you got a season's pass, and yes you can use it in Revelstoke and at our third Visitor Centre in Hudson's Hope if you're planning a road trip. Please do come back soon and enjoy the parts of the centre that you didn't get a chance to see yet. More

Several of our grade five classes attended a field trip today and the children loved it. We used the on-line teacher's resources and also did the scavenger hunt at the nearby Hayward Lake to complete the day. I highly recommend this for other school field trips.

Kids had a blast. First we started with an introduction movie on how the dam generates electricity. We then toured the power house and the kids got to see first hand on how the equipment would have operated and a great history lesson from the BC Hydro tour staff. We ended the tour in the "games room": where the kids... More

We spent a good couple of hours looking around the plant, my husband and uncle, both from electrical backgrounds were like kids in a candy shop! The display was very interesting and the engineering amazing. Well worth a stop in this beautiful area
