Canada's only mechanical music museum. The collection illustrates and demonstrates the development of automatic music machines from 18th century barrel organs to 1950s juke boxes via musical boxes, street and barrel pianos, residence and dance hall organs, player pianos, phonographs, gramophones and vintage radios. The museum offers tours taking approximately 1 hour and demonstrations of the genuine antique instruments include about 20 examples.

Thank you for your review - we are always pleased to receive feedback from our visitors. I quite understand your point, in that we are Canada's only mechanical music museum, and as such we are not directly connected to Revelstoke. Our focus is International and...More

They have quite the collection here and they really know their history as well. They also give a demonstration with the items that they are telling you about. Some of the organs and music boxes are well over 100 years old so it's quite interesting...More

This museum is the life's work of two delightful, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic folk, who enjoy sharing their enthusiasm with visitors. Despite the season drawing to a close, and there only being two of us, we were given a personal tour of the fascinating musical instruments...More

This is a gem of a place in Revelstoke. This museum focuses on mechanical things that play music, starting with the first "player piano" type organs (circa 1700s) and running up through juke boxes. There are two things that are absolutely amazing about this particular...More

Was very excited to see this museum but was strongly deterred by owner because we had 2 younger children. Sad that I didn't get to see this & a bit ticked off that there was no mention that this facility wasn't kid friendly.More

Thank you for your review. We always advise parents of very young children that unless their offspring are particularly interested in music their concentration span may not endure for the hour + that our tours take. We have always made the point that we generally...More
