This was on our to do list and was a nice way to spend a rainy afternoon. Lots of old pictures, very educational. It wasn't too big so you didn't get bored.

Thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful exhibit of the building and history of the CP railway! Very well done, and amazing to see the actual steam trains being housed. We were able to actually see inside and out of the trains! Very worth the price of admission!...More

We walked through the entire museum inside and out and enjoyed learning about a huge part of Canadian history. Learning about how all the Chinese workers were treated back then was appalling though. I didn't realize Canadians treated anyone like slaves.

Great to be able to walk inside the old trains and get a good feel of what the trains were really like. Make sure you have a toonie for the simulator!

Great to get close to big, old engines. Things to look at inside and outside. A nice thing to look and learn about even if your not a train enthusiast

This a small museum but houses some great exhibits. It's a really good and thorough history of the Canadian railway system and we really impressed by the different and well presented displays. There's also a "kid's" portion if you go with children. The whole museum...More

We recommend at least an hour but it can take up to 2 hours, or more, if you take in all the exhibits, ride the simulator, talk to an engineer, and watch the film in the theatre. You can also bring a picnic lunch and enjoy... More
