We had a group of buddies go for 3 days, had over a meter of fresh before we arrived and another 50cm while we were there. Some of the best boarding I've ever done but not enough runs/day. Large group (16) and long traverses made for pretty slow going when most runs requires 15-30 min treks to start. Food was... More

Just returned from another wonderful week at GN. The new owners expressed a strong desire to preserve the magic Brent has created and maintained over the last 30 years. He took what mother nature created here and turned it into a sustainable business that has kept many of us returning year-after-year. Thanks Brent ! As always, you can expect phenomenal... More

We came on our second visit this year (March 2016), and boy did we hit the jackpot. We had 6 days of storm skiing. Most of a metre of snow came down and we had light fluffy powder the entire time. Brent, Pat, and Ellial managed to find the best lines safe from any slides. The terrain at GNSS is... More

We are so thankful to have had the opportunity to have skied with GNPG. The whole operation was professional and fun. We felt the leader and the tail guides were extremely competent at what they do. Safety and fun was most important for all level of skiers. To find a better cat ski organization would be hard to do. If... More

I have been visiting Great Northern Snowcat since the mid 80's on almost an annual basis. Most times with a group of friends or family but also solo. Great Northern (GN) makes you feel at home at their lodge which only accommodates about 15 guests per week. This assures of a cozy lodge atmosphere where social interaction is easy. The... More

We got the whole enchilada on our first ever Snow Cat Skiing experience. On our good friends advice we booked with Great Northern and got the cream of the crop, cozy lodge, expert guides, 1 snow cat (translates to our group was the only ones on the mountain), and plenty of fresh pow! Make sure you bring your camera and... More

Twenty two years ago my wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary by booking a powder ski experience with Great Northern. We haven't missed a year since and each year has been better than the previous. The "digs" are very comfortable & the foods great. Guiding is done with an eye to safety first but always gives the skier... More

First time powder skiing. I took my 14 year old son with me. For the first day I was very grateful to have a tail-guide as well as the lead-guide: I needed assistance to get up from the deep powder. Also happy to have the benefits of her experience in terms of managing the deep powder. I also enjoyed the... More
