The Shumway Lake is a large lake in the interior of BC, it has many bays and sheltered areas, and is a summer destination for many western Canadian folks. Clean cool water and many public beaches and boat launches, makes the Shuswap area a fantastic place.

Scenery along this lake alone would bring me back...Beautiful beaches, boating, tubing, fishing..all of it in one place. Beautiful nature walk along the foreshore..tranquil and quiet.Five arms of this lake to explore...lots of houseboat rentals.

Skip Kelowna and the traffic and busy lake and head for the quieter, more beautiful Shuswap. It's a massive lake ..with countless beaches up the Arms...we live in Blind Bay and watch Copper Island visitors hike up the trails, moor their boats nearby and swim in the calm warm water. Houseboats are around and traverse up and Down the lake..there... More

No visit to Salmon Arm would be complete without a visit to the lake, a dip, and some relaxing timing sitting on the beach. The water is just great, and it's relaxing to sit here and enjoy the view.

Six days was not long enough for our group of five on a Waterway Houseboat. During the eight months I had to plan our adventure, which involved flying people from half-way across the world for a surprise 75th birthday, the staff were helpful & friendly whenever I phoned to ask questions. The trip around the Shuswaps was nothing short of... More

The views from the wooden dock is spectacular, be it morning, afternoon or evening. The walk around the lake trails is very calming.

It was a nice visit there seeing some friends as well, but there are alot of wierd weird folks there as well, kinda creepy. But the place is nice to visit but only in summer time. Rest of time is a boring town.

You can live in the area for years and still have a hard time seeing the entire shore line of the Shuswap. Surrounded by beautiful mountains and beaches, Shuswap lake is a great place to take the family and friends!

How lucky are we to discover this amazing lake with fun for all ages from houseboat rentals, to water skiing, paddle boarding, wave riding etc. The beaches are great with safe swimming areas in Blind Bay and all through the Arms.
