It is obvious a lot of effort has gone into the creation of this park and keeping it close to nature. We were able to view local birds and despite the fall weather we were able to see the various plant life from the area.

For those of you looking to take photographs, take a nature walk or enjoy birding, this is the spot for you. Osprey, eagles, blue heron and now pelicans make this spot their nesting grounds. The trails are clearly marked, well maintained and are seeing continued improvements. Caution when biking, especially over boardwalks as we have had numerous punctures in our... More

What a little gem by the waterfront. Awestruck by the biodiversity. Yellow-headed blackbirds,red-winged blackbirds, herons, bald eagles, Canada geese and babies, swallows swooping and eating mosquitoes... Great foresight by Salmon Arm residents to have this park available for the public. I think in a Nature Park that showcases such incredible range of bird species and waterfowl, that dogs should be... Right in the heart of nature bring your cameras and a picnic lunch. Very serene and so relaxing. We ate our lunches watching the birds around us . There are walking trails for you to enjoy

Beautiful and quiet -- reflective space where we enjoyed bird watching and walking through lovely landscape. Hope it stays this way!

A small nature park on the edge of Shuswap Lake and easily accessible for all. This is next to other nature parks and attractions.

This is a great place not far from the Downtown area where you enjoy the silence that comes with being along the lake shore, although this is slightly disturbed by the trains coming past every so often. However this doesn't seem to affect the birds that live here. We saw a yellow headed blackbird or two as well as red... More

This was our second trip to Salmon Arm, and both times we visited the Park several times. The first time was in June whilst this was September, so the birding experiences were different, but both very enjoyable. June is probably more rewarding as the Western Grebes are still pairing up and "dancing" on the water, both the Yellow Headed and... More

Peter Jannink Nature Park was a quiet and lovely "rest break" for us on a recent BC road trip and stop in Salmon Arm. The Park is located on, in, and near a beautiful marshland shore of Shuswap Lake. Located just a short walk from the downtown area of Salmon Arm (with easy access across from Narcisse and Hudson Streets),... More
