This little shop was directly across from our hotel, the Sidney Pier Hotel and Spa. It has a nice selection of jewellery made from gems and a nice area for kids to explore different minerals. The girl working there was friendly and informative and it was a good place to stop and look around. I think it would be a... More

Was delighted to find this shop as we were exploring the area around Beacon Park shops. I was specifically looking for a piece of polished labradorite. The lady who ran the shop was very helpful, showing me a couple of options, where the colours of the stone just glowed. So many interesting rocks, some breathtaking pieces of amethyst. Could spend... I read some of the reviews that the place opened since july 2016. Their website still say is permenantly closed. we figure since we are heading to beacon hill park, we should check out this store. Yes, it's open. my boys buy some interesting rocks and get all excited. They are into mineral rocks ever since we got back from... More

This is definitely a neat place to visit in the summer if you are visiting Sidney. It is only open seasonally though. I much prefer the old store where you could sit outside and pick through the variety of rocks, both large and small, and fill your bag. They still have a nice variety of rocks and gems and very... Apparently it had been closed for a while but just re-opened this weekend (July 2016), so be aware that prior reviews and the website that is out there all appear to be for the prior version. We stopped in after getting breakfast in Sidney before catching the ferry and it was a great end of trip activity for our kids... More

Thanks so much for the comments.... yes we are open again in newly renovated space... explore the caves, collect gemstones from around the world, shop for exquisite jewellery and gifts... We are open every day and so excited to be part of the Sidney area once again. We hope to see you soon. More

It's a great place to bring children. Lots of tactile displays and inexpensive and unique gifts. Good learning opportunity for kids who are interested in rocks and minerals.

A typical seaside tourist shop...with a twist. Kids love to "mine" their own treasures in the grottoes and it makes for a very enjoyable hour or so.

Used to display interesting minerals and a larger gift shop. Unfortunately it appears permanently closed.
